GRATEFUL DEAD / 2000 / '64 Live (Bootleg)

Text extracted from a forum on internet:
"Sounds like some kind of hack job compilation of tracks from several different years, in the style of some of those goofy 70's vinyl bootlegs.

The Dew sounds like a score, but is probably from '67-'69... Casey Jones was first performed in mid-69, while Ripple & UJB were written in the prolific year of 1970.

The "64" part will be completely false, as the proto-Dead Mother McCree's Uptown Jug Champions did not go electric as the (proto-Dead) Warlocks until 1965, and the earliest known recording of that is the Emergency Crew sessions of Nov 65; a handful of shows are available from 66, then many more from 1967 and on. Garcia also spent a good portion of 1964 playing banjo in bluegrass groups and driving cross-country with Grisman being a Bill Monroe & The Bluegrass Boys tourhead/tapers... can you imagine that- going from city to city, living out of your car, following the every move of a band of musicians and attending every show they play- and recording it???"

Recorded at Fillmore West Palladium, San Francisco, Oct. 23rd, 1964 (?).
